stunning views and close to wonderful attractions

I stayed here for one night and loved how close it was to Muncaster Castle and the beautiful Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway, making my city strolls so enjoyable. the staff really made me feel welcome with their excellent service and the room had an amazing view across the bay that made my stay even better. with a comfortable bed and a clean room, it felt like a great choice for a solo traveler exploring the area.

The Inn At Ravenglass offers stunning views over the estuary, and my suite was incredibly spacious with a massive, comfy bed. The lounge area had a cozy settee and there was a full-size fridge that was a pleasant surprise! The breakfast was well cooked and plentiful, making every morning enjoyable.

The stairs to the suite are quite steep.

The fresh cream cakes in the Turntable Cafe are a must-try! Plus, our suite was massive with a fab view over the estuary and a sneaky fridge! What a score!

On our first breakfast at the Pennington, dirty plates were still on tables and fresh fruit was MIA.

The view over the estuary was breathtaking, enhancing our stay. The suite upgrade provided ample space and a comfortable atmosphere for relaxation.

The check-in process could be clearer due to having to collect the key from another location.

Room had a massive comfy bed and a huge lounge area with a sofa facing the stunning estuary views. There's a fridge and dining table for meals. The bathroom was spacious, featuring his and hers sinks, a freestanding bath, and a walk-in shower. Breakfast at the nearby pub was well-cooked and plentiful, perfect to start the day!

The stairs leading up to the room are steep and could pose a challenge for anyone with mobility issues, and I found the shower door a bit cramped for comfort. While the room had its charm, the pillows felt excessively firm for my taste. Breakfast service could be sluggish on some mornings, with a couple of items needing to be requested multiple times. Although the room wasn't serviced until Friday during our midweek stay, I noticed that the atmosphere was generally pleasant despite these little quirks.

Had a massive suite with the biggest bed I've ever slept in, and the view over the estuary was something else. Breakfast was excellent, well cooked & plentiful. The staff were friendly.

It was just a smart choice for a city holiday in Ravenglass with good value for cost. The breakfast at the nearby hotel was reasonably priced and a nice way to start the day. Be mindful of the steep outdoor stairs, they're a bit tricky.

Perfect spot for peace and views

I had a chill stay here. The young lady at check-in was super friendly, made me feel right at home. Room was spotless, stunning view of the bay, and the bed was comfy. Loved the hot chocolate sachets! Just wish the wifi was a bit stronger. But really, it’s a fab base for exploring the lakes!

Great welcome drink and lovely hiking nearby. No free wi-fi in room is a letdown.

Comfortable Stay with Room for Improvement

We stayed in a suite for two nights. The view was stunning, and the local restaurant served delicious meals. I was disappointed with the mattress quality. it felt cheap and wasn't very comfortable, causing restless nights. the welcoming atmosphere made up for it. I suggest inquiring about mattress options.
